Known for its unique artistic vision and fearless dedication to experimentation, the Kronos Quartet continues to break new ground with the Boston premiere of Sun Rings. A collaboration among Kronos, composer Terry Riley and NASA, Sun Rings is an audio-visual voyage into the solar system. Inspired by the sound waves of outer space as captured by instruments on NASA spacecraft, Riley's haunting and intensely moving score is set to the awe-inspiring visual accompaniment of astral images gathered by Voyager spacecraft.
