Background: 
Founded in 1981, The EVVY Awards is an awards show, created to give Emerson college students the opportunity to have their work judged and honored by industry professionals. Originally created to recognize achievement in television and video, the show has evolved to recognize achievement in nearly every area of study offered by Emerson College.

Judging: 
All submissions are judged and presented by local and national professionals in the communications and performing arts fields.
 
 

Production: 
The EVVY Awards is written, produced, and staffed by Emerson College students. It is an eight-camera, live switch production using broadcast-quality equipment.

Recognition: 
The show has gained national recognition and has received numerous awards, including first place at the National Association of College Broadcasters Awards and two National Telly Awards.

Previous Hosts: 
Anthony Clark of Boston Common, Joely Fisher of Ellen, Laura Kightlinger of Saturday Night Live, and Max Mutchnick, Executive Producer of Will and Grace have all hosted the show while attending Emerson College.
