of Elton John and Queen"
(Boston
Gay Men's Chorus)
Thursday, June 10 2004, 8pm
Friday, June 11, 8pm
Sunday, June 13, 7pm
$44, $34, $24, $12
For the annual Pride Concert
the BGMC will rock the house—175 voices strong—with a technicolor tribute
to British pop rock stars Elton John, and Freddie Mercury and Queen.
Their outrageous costumes and camp behavior made them gay icons and their
music became the soundtrack for a generation. "British Invasion"
will
take you back to the 70s and 80s for some of the greatest hits of the era.
From soaring ballads like "Daniel" and "Candle in the Wind" to rock anthems
like "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Are the Champions" to clap-along hits
including "I’m Still Standing" and "Philadelphia Freedom", we will rock
you!
