About Oddville
Old Vaudeville began in Boston
in the 1880s when B.F. Keith built an empire of theatres. Back then, vaudeville
was as diverse in its audience as it was in its programming and it had
to appeal to people of all classes and backgrounds. There was always something
for everybody.
We at OddVille know it's
the perfect time to resurrect our version of that concept and we are very
excited to introduce OddVille and its hand-picked residents to the world
on June 7th, 2008 at The Cutler Majestic Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts.
OddVille Co-creator and host
Red Peters compares his OddVille revue to taking the best of YouTube and
bringing it to the stage. "I felt Boston was the best place to launch OddVille,
and the plan is to take OddVille on tour across the country. There's an
old theater and unique talent in virtually every major city in America
that just lay there waiting for my OddVille to come pack the place to the
rafters. There's really nothing like OddVille on the planet"
Mr. Peters says with a wide
grin.
