| The Boston Lawyers Division
of the Federalist Society presents its eighth annual Shakespeare and
the Law Series in which prominent public officials, judges and members
of the bar will enact an abridged staged reading of Shakespeare's King
Lear.
The event is hosted by former
Whitewater
Special Prosecutor and Dean of Pepperdine Law School Kenneth Starr.
Following the reading, Mr.
Starr will moderate a discussion and debate on the political and legal
issues raised in the play. As Lear surrendered his sovereignty with
tragic consequences, the participants will illuminate the parallels in
today's political world at the state, federal and international levels.
The event lasts about two hours and is free. |
