The
Aquila Theatre Company is premiering its first production of William Shakespeare's
Hamlet
during its national tour beginning fall, 2005. It has been the foremost
classic theater touring company in America and Britian for nearly ten years,
with consistently exceptional productions of Shakespeare and the Greeks.
Generally, the directors' interpretations of the tragedies are true to
Shakespeare's epoch and production notes, while they infuse the comedies
with startling creativity and wild abandon. The quotes below reflect
critical observations of past performances. We'll add Hamlet
reviews as the tour progresses.
